Stock market today: Rising tech stocks pull Wall Street toward another recordLaw Offices of Howard G. Smith reminds investors of the upcoming January 17, 2025 deadline to file a lead plaintiff motion in the case filed on behalf of investors who purchased Wolfspeed, Inc. ("Wolfspeed" or the "Company") WOLF securities between August 16, 2023 and November 6, 2024 , inclusive (the "Class Period"). Investors suffering losses on their Wolfspeed investments are encouraged to contact the Law Offices of Howard G. Smith to discuss their legal rights in this class action at (215) 638-4847 or by email to howardsmith@howardsmithlaw.com . On November 6, 2024, Wolfspeed released its first quarter fiscal 2025 financial results and provided second quarter guidance significantly below expectations due to "demand ... ramp[ing] more slowly than [the Company] originally anticipated" as "EV customers revise their launch time lines as the market works though this transition period." Additionally, while the Company previously estimated that its Mohawk Valley fabrication facility would result in $100 million in revenue, it now projected a range 30% to 50% below that mark. On this news, Wolfspeed's stock price fell $5.38, or 39.2%, to close at $8.33 per share on November 7, 2024, thereby injuring investors. The complaint filed in this class action alleges that throughout the Class Period, Defendants made materially false and/or misleading statements, as well as failed to disclose material adverse facts about the Company's business, operations, and prospects. Specifically, Defendants failed to disclose to investors that: (1) the Company had overstated the demand for its key product and placed undue reliance on purported design wins; (2) the facility's growth had begun to taper before even recognizing the $100 million revenue per quarter allegedly achievable with only 20% utilization of the fab, let alone the promised $2 billion revenue purportedly achievable by the facility; and (3) as a result, Defendants' positive statements about the Company's business, operations, and prospects were materially misleading and/or lacked a reasonable basis at all relevant times. If you purchased or otherwise acquired Wolfspeed securities during the Class Period, you may move the Court no later than January 17, 2025 to ask the Court to appoint you as lead plaintiff if you meet certain legal requirements. To be a member of the class action you need not take any action at this time; you may retain counsel of your choice or take no action and remain an absent member of the class action. These days, you don’t need an Xbox to play Xbox games. The company’s gaming ecosystem is now cheaper than ever thanks to a Cyber Monday deal that’ll snag you an Amazon Fire TV Stick 4K Max and an Xbox controller for just $20 more than a single controller would normally cost on its own. The deal follows news from this June that Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers would be able to stream cloud-supported games directly from supported USB dongles, and although the bundle comes with an Xbox Core Wireless Controller, most Bluetooth controllers will work just fine . So, theoretically, you could also snag the separate Fire TV Stick 4K Max deal (which almost cuts the price in half) if you already have a compatible game controller laying around. (Yes, even if it’s PlayStation branded.) Again, you’ll need Xbox Game Pass Ultimate to play, since there’s no way the Fire TV Stick can run an Xbox game without help from the subscription’s cloud streaming services, but the bundle with the controller does come with a free month of Game Pass Ultimate, which normally costs $20 a month. Click here for a full list of cloud supported games. Bundles are active for both pink and green controllers, with other options out of stock at time of writing. You can also opt for a regular Fire TV Stick 4K over a 4K Max for $5 less, although you’ll get a slightly slower processor, a slower wifi standard, and less storage. Alternatively, if all you need is an Xbox controller, there are deals on those too , but availability and pricing differs by color. Regardless, either Fire TV Stick 4K will support the Xbox app, making this one of the cheapest ways to get in on the current console generation right now—at least until those subscription fees start adding up.The New York Knicks faced an early test on the road against the mighty Denver Nuggets and passed with flying colors. The Knicks have been a top-five offense: currently fourth in points, second in three-point percentage, and second in field goal percentage. They looked like the Harlem Globetrotters as they destroyed the 2023 NBA champions 145-118. They tied their franchise record for assists, finishing with 60.9% shooting from the field and 52.8% from three. OG Anunoby dropped a career-high 40 points and was the best player on the court. In fact, he has been huge for the Knicks to start the season. Anunoby is off to a career-best start and emerging as one of the elite two-way players in the NBA. Unquestionably he’s living up to his $200+ million contract and then some. OG’s Thriving Role OG quickly supplanted Mikal Bridges as the team’s third option on offense whilw being the Knicks best (at times only) defender. He is thriving in his role within the offense. Under head coach Tom Thibodeau, OG is focusing on his shot diet. He is attacking his hot zones in the painted area and the corners. Anunoby has attacked closeouts, therefore increasing his efficiency. OG’s armed with a terrific pump fake allowing him to beat his man and run at the basket freely. If a defender closes out too quickly, OG will have them in a blender. He’s an athletic specimen blessed with strength and speed, and he leads the Knicks in dunks because of that. When cutting in from the wings, no one can handle him. His movement is also excellent, often hunting out mismatches while Jalen Brunson has done a great job finding him. Everything he has done, is in the flow of the offense. He’s the Knicks best cutter. It’s been an offensive masterclass from OG. Now there is a golden opportunity for OG to become an All-Star this season, as he is currently playing like the best two-way wing in the NBA. Anunoby Off To A Career Start OG put Denver to the sword dropping 40 points on a ridiculously efficient 16-23 from the field and 5-7 from behind the arc. These are numbers one would expect playing NBA 2K on rookie mode. That’s how impressive he was on this night. Indeed, this performance tops off what we’ve seen from OG in most games this year. Anunoby is off to a career-best start offensively. His stats are a testament to this: Anunoby’s offensive rating of 127 is by far the best of his career. Also, his 52% field goal percentage is a career-high. His 42% from three, EFG% of 61.7, and points per game of 19.1 are all career highs . In terms of PER, his player efficiency of 17.8 is significantly higher than his career average of 13.4. His PPG is almost seven points higher than his career average. So what has changed? Ex-NBA star Jamal Crawford asked in the post-game interview against Denver what OG worked on in the offseason. OG replied, “everything.” Clearly, his work-ethic this offseason has paid off. Modern Day Scottie Pippen? Kendrick Perkins went as far as to say OG is playing like the modern-day Scottie Pippen, . @KendrickPerkins ' word of the day: OG Perk says OG Anunoby has been the most consistent player on both ends for the Knicks this season pic.twitter.com/BrPpQE23c7 — NBA on ESPN (@ESPNNBA) November 26, 2024 it’s a gaudy comparison, one in which I’d hesitate to go as far as to say he’s the modern-day Scottie Pippen this early. Nevertheless, there are comparisons to be made in terms of his style. OG deserves all the praise he’s receiving for his impressive work on both ends of the court. He’s also criminally underrated in the league. He has a relentless work ethic, playing without any real weaknesses in his game. He’s one of the best perimeter defenders in the league, and he’s particularly impressive at getting into the passing lanes forcing deflections and steals. He can defend all five positions on the floor. Offensively, Anunoby is off to a career start in terms of efficiency and shooting. He’s excellently adept at slashing to the rim, and is an elite corner-three shooter. Perkins also said, “OG’s been the best and most consistent player on both ends of the floor for the Knicks.” This is probably true. Josh Hart has been incredibly consistent on both ends of the court, continuing to be the quintessential glue guy, fifth in the league in true shooting. Karl-Anthony Towns is having an incredible season on the offensive end, experiencing career highs across the board offensively. However, his rim protection has largely been disappointing. Jalen Brunson is transitioning his game from being the number one scoring option to being more of a playmaker. Mikal Bridges has been underwhelming, to say the least. I’d definitely agree with Perkins that OG has been the Knicks most consistent player. OG can no longer be looked upon in the prism of only a great defender. He’s now providing All-Star level offense. Considering his efficient role in the offense, it should continue. This article first appeared on Last Word On Sports and was syndicated with permission.

USC QB Miller Moss enters transfer portal after losing starting job to Jayden MaiavaFormer Turkish Super Lig champions Trabzonspor are interested in Super Eagles defender Bruno Onyemaechi, Soccernet.ng reports. Trabzonspor have failed to make an impact in the Super Lig after they won the title two years ago. In fact, they have had consecutive third and fifth finishes in the Super Lig. However, they have been quite busy in the transfer market in the past year, in their bid to push the league’s big boys Fenerbahce and Galatasaray for the league. Trabzonspor are looking to bolster their left-back position. And according to Furkan Celik , they have their sights set on signing Nigeria’s Bruno Onyemaechi from Portuguese side Boavista. The 25-year-old defender has been a constant fixture in Boavista’s backline for the past two seasons. This season, he has played in all eleven of their Liga Portugal games. Onyemaechi is currently valued at €3 million, a fee which Boavista could easily afford. The Nigerian defender might be interested in making the transfer, as it an obvious step up. He has spent all of his professional career in Portugal, featuring for Feirense previously. So it will be an entire change for him. Onyemaechi made his debut for Nigeria in 2023, when the team was still under the tutelage of Jose Peseiro, and he has racked up six caps.Pep Guardiola’s side at least avoided the indignity of a sixth successive defeat in all competitions but alarm bells continue to ring at the Etihad Stadium after a dramatic late capitulation. A double from Erling Haaland – the first from the penalty spot – and a deflected effort from Ilkay Gundogan, all in the space of nine minutes either side of the break, looked to have ensured a return to winning ways. Yet Guardiola was left with his head in hands as Feyenoord roared back in the last 15 minutes with goals from Anis Hadj Moussa, Sergio Gimenez and David Hancko, two of them after Josko Gvardiol errors. City almost snatched a late winner when Jack Grealish hit the woodwork but there was no masking another dispiriting result. It was hardly the preparation City wanted for Sunday’s crunch trip to Liverpool, and the Feyenoord fans took great delight in rubbing that fact in. They sung the club anthem they share with Liverpool, You’ll Never Walk Alone, and chanted the name of their former manager Arne Slot, the current Reds boss. Guardiola arrived at the ground with a cut on the bridge of his nose and, once again, his side have been struck a nasty blow. Despite not being at their best, they had dominated early on against what seemed limited Dutch opposition. They threatened when a Gundogan shot was deflected wide and Haaland then went close to opening the scoring when he turned a header onto the post. Feyenoord goalkeeper Timon Wellenreuther gifted City another chance when he passed straight to Bernardo Silva but Grealish’s fierce volley struck team-mate Phil Foden. Foden forced a save from Wellenreuther but City had a moment of alarm when Igor Paixao got behind the defence only to shoot tamely at Ederson. Nathan Ake missed the target with a header but some luck finally went City’s way just before the break when Quinten Timber, brother of Arsenal’s Jurrien, was harshly adjudged to have fouled Haaland. The Norwegian rammed home the resulting spot-kick and City returned re-energised for the second period. They won a corner when a Matheus Nunes shot was turned behind and Gundogan fired the hosts’ second – albeit with aid of a deflection – with a firm volley from the edge of the box. City turned up the heat and claimed their third soon after as Gundogan released Nunes with a long ball and his low cross was turned into the net by a sliding Haaland. 44' ⚽️ Man City 1-0 Feyenoord50' ⚽️ Man City 2-0 Feyenoord53' ⚽️ Man City 3-0 Feyenoord75' ⚽️ Man City 3-1 Feyenoord82' ⚽️ Man City 3-2 Feyenoord89' ⚽️ Man City 3-3 Feyenoord 🤯🤯🤯 #UCL — UEFA Champions League (@ChampionsLeague) November 26, 2024 It seemed City were heading for a morale-lifting victory but a couple of Gvardiol errors changed the script. The Croatian, who had a torrid time in Saturday’s 4-0 thrashing by Tottenham, first horribly misplaced a backpass and allowed Moussa to nip in and round Ederson. Ordinarily that 75th-minute reply would have been a mere consolation and City would close out the game, but Gvardiol had another moment to forget eight minutes from time. Again he gave the ball away and Feyenoord pounced. The ball was lofted into the box and Jordan Lotomba fired a shot that glanced the post and deflected across goal, where Gimenez chested in. Ederson then blundered as he raced out of his area and was beaten by Paixao, who crossed for Hancko to head into an empty net. Amid some moments of unrest in the crowd, when objects were thrown, City tried to rally in stoppage time. Grealish had an effort deflected onto the bar but the hosts had to settle for a draw.
